From News Center (Text by Zhou Qipang, Academic Affairs Department, Photos by the Secondary Schools) Recently, the Department of Education of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region announced the winners of the 2026 Guangxi Vocational College Skills Competition. The LZPU teams won 13 gold, 16 silver, and 16 bronze medals in the competition. The number of gold medals ranks among the top of higher vocational institutions in the region, and 13 qualifications for the 2026 World Vocational College Skills Competition are expected to be obtained.

The Guangxi Vocational College Skills Competition is an event hosted by the Department of Education of the Zhuang Autonomous Region, boasting the widest range of majors, the largest number of participants, and the greatest social influence among vocational college competitions. This year, LZPU took part in 54 tracks, with 211 student contestants and 108 instructors. Despite numerous challenges during the 2026 competition, our leaders went to guide and inspect preparation work, resolving various issues as they arose. Each secondary school and competition team carefully prepared for the contests, gave full play to their initiative, and finally achieved outstanding results in the competition.

In recent years, LZPU has actively built platforms for students to demonstrate their professional abilities, fostered a learning atmosphere of "everyone striving to become skilled experts", and formed an outstanding new model for talent cultivation featuring "promoting teaching and learning through competitions", yielding fruitful results in students' skills competitions. Students tempered through competitions boast high comprehensive quality and strong practical abilities, making them widely welcomed by employers. As of now, the university has been awarded the honorary title of "Outstanding Unit in Employment and Entrepreneurship of Graduates from Guangxi Higher Education Institutions" for 24 consecutive years.
